Counselor
Kennedy has built her career working in addiction and mental health. She began as a behavioral health technician on an inpatient psychiatric unit before transitioning to a substance abuse counselor at an outpatient facility in Upstate New York.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in clinical psychology, focusing on the adult population. Kennedy went on to earn a master’s degree in forensics and is currently pursuing her PhD. She is passionate about helping individuals struggling with addiction and mental health, encouraging them to share their struggles and shift the conversation around these issues from negative to positive.
Kennedy believes that “there is always a deeper why under the original why.” She helps individuals uncover and understand their true motivations using client-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing techniques.
In her free time, Kennedy enjoys nature photography, spending time with family, and taking day trips to explore new places.
