Our CEO and founder graduated from Vassar College with a BA in Comparative Religions, and then attended the psychoanalytic Studies Institute earning her master’s as a Freudian Psychotherapist. Her career as a private practice therapist spanned 10 yrs when she moved into non-profit administration.
At the Philadelphia Mental Health Center (PMHC) she worked in Quality Assurance, then as the Outpatient Director, as the Assistant Executive Director, and in 1999 became the CEO.
Kerey has been CEO for 24 yrs providing quality mental health services to the underserved in the greater Philadelphia region.
The concept of Avise Wellness Collective came from witnessing the lack of availability of higher-level mental health services in the addiction treatment space. She believes that people are people, and those with substance abuse problems a deserve the highest level of comprehensive addiction, psychological, psychiatric and wellness care. Avise Wellness Collective was born out of a lifelong passion to help people heal and grow with respect, compassion, and high-quality health care.
